For an international organization operating in a complex, data-driven environment, we are looking for a Data Specialist who will play a key role in enabling high-quality data usage across the business.
In this role, you will combine strategic thinking with hands-on data work, ensuring that data is structured, accessible and effectively used to support business operations and decision-making.
You will act as a central point of contact between business and technical teams, translating data needs into scalable solutions and ensuring efficient data flows across systems.
Your Responsibilities
Data Strategy & Governance
* Support the development and execution of a global data strategy
* Contribute to defining data standards, governance frameworks and best practices
* Ensure data quality, consistency and scalability across systems
Stakeholder Collaboration
* Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams
* Translate business requirements into data-driven solutions
* Coordinate with international teams to ensure alignment and efficiency
Data Operations & Process Optimization
* Manage and improve end-to-end data workflows
* Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of datasets
* Identify opportunities to optimize processes and reduce inefficiencies
Data Analysis & Technical Support
* Perform data analysis using SQL and modern data tools
* Guide and support data-related initiatives within the team
* Validate outputs and ensure accuracy and reliability of data
Project & Delivery Ownership
* Take ownership of data-related initiatives from scoping to delivery
* Ensure projects are aligned with business objectives and timelines
* Drive continuous improvement across data processes and services
Your Profile
* Minimum 5 years of experience in a data-related role (Data Analyst, Data Consultant, Data Specialist, etc.)
* Strong proficiency in SQL (experience with BigQuery and/or dbt is a plus)
* Solid understanding of data modeling and complex data environments
* Experience working with data governance, data quality or data operations
* Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to work cross-functionally
* Experience in an international or multi-team environment is a plus
* Analytical mindset with a focus on problem-solving and execution
* Interest in AI and modern data technologies is a plus
* Three days per week on-site in West-Flanders
* Excellent communication skills in English
