We are looking for a Polymer or Chemical Process Engineer and a M aterial scientist/chemist for R&D to help scale advanced polymer materials from lab innovation into robust, repeatable manufacturing processes. This role sits at the intersection of chemistry, processing and industrialization, with direct impact on a product moving toward commercial deployment.

What you will work on
- Support the formulation, processing and optimization of proprietary polymer based material systems.
- Apply polymer based adhesives, coatings, films or tapes using techniques such as film coating, roll to roll application, film or tape extrusion, or related lab and pilot scale processes.
- Carry out structured experimental work, including preparation, testing, documentation and interpretation of results.
- Work hands on with standard polymer and materials lab scale processing and characterization equipment.
- Help translate lab scale formulations into more reproducible and scalable processing workflows.
- Support the development of process parameters, lab protocols, quality control routines and reproducibility checks.
- Contribute to testing and evaluation of proprietary material layers, including material behavior, coating quality, durability and application performance.
- Work closely with materials scientists, application engineers, process partners and the commercial team to connect material performance with real world product requirements.
- Help build clean and traceable datasets and support data driven decision making in R&D and product development.
Who we are looking for
- You are a young Chemical or Polymer Technologist with a degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Polymer Science, or a similar field.
- 1 to 3 years of relevant industry experience.
- Basic to intermediate competence in the formulation of polymer based adhesives, coatings, inks, paints, films, or related materials.
- Basic to intermediate competence in the application of such materials via film coating, roll to roll processing, film or tape extrusion, or other relevant techniques.
- Experience in the printing, labelling, packaging, coatings, adhesives, or polymer processing industry is a strong fit.
- Comfortable with experimental work and structured lab routines.
- Hands on with standard polymer and materials lab scale processing and polymer characterization equipment.
- Strong attention to experimental rigour, lab protocols, safety and reproducibility. You take pride in clean and traceable data.
- Good communication skills in English. Dutch or French is a plus.
- A team player who is curious, reliable, hands on and motivated to learn fast in a startup paced R&D and product development environment.
Additional skills we value
- Exposure to high output experimentation, automated or digital workflows and data analysis.
- Experience with roll to roll, coating, tape or film extrusion, compounding, or lab to pilot translation.
- Understanding of manufacturing quality control, reproducibility, process stability and scale up challenges.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating closely in a small and fast moving team.

Who we are
A confidential materials science company is developing proprietary advanced polymer based material technology for demanding mobility applications. The objective is to support the next generation of puncture resistant solutions for car and bike mobility applications.
We are looking for a Junior Material Scientist or Chemist to contribute to R&D activities focused on formulation, characterization, testing and translation of advanced polymer materials toward pilot and industrial processing.
What you will work on
- Synthesize, formulate and optimize proprietary polymer systems with a range of fillers, additives and related components for different mobility applications.
- Characterize materials using mechanical testing, thermal analysis, rheology, functional material performance and durability under realistic load and environmental conditions.
- Evaluate the performance of finished proprietary material layers, including puncture behavior, fatigue, ageing and quality control protocols.
- Support the translation from lab scale formulations to pilot and industrial processing, in collaboration with manufacturing partners.
- Document protocols, contribute to internal data management and support life cycle assessment work.
- Work closely with materials scientists, mechanical engineers, application engineers and the commercial team on real world constraints and trade offs.
Who we are looking for
- Bachelor or master degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Polymer Science, or a similar field.
- 0 to 2 years of relevant experience. A first internship or thesis project in polymers or soft materials is a strong plus.
- Comfortable with experimental work and structured lab routines, hands on with standard polymer and materials characterization equipment.
