This company is seeking a highly skilled Software Architect to take a leading role in the design and development of large-scale applications for EU organizations in the domain of border management and control. As a member of the architects team, the successful candidate will be responsible for defining, assessing, and communicating architecture, delivering high-level and detailed architecture and design documents, and leading the review process with the client. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of professional experience in ICT, with at least 5 years as a software architect or similar role.
Day rate: up to €782 per day
Key Functions:
4. Defining, assessing, and communicating architecture
5. Delivering high-level and detailed architecture and design documents
6. Leading and coordinating the implementation and/or troubleshooting
7. Contributing to the Functional, Technical, Security and Testing specifications
8. Performing studies and proposing design solutions in relation to changes and new requirements
Must Have Skills:
9. Minimum 10 years of professional experience in ICT, with at least 5 years as a software architect or similar role
10. Proven experience in large-scale distributed systems, with emphasis on high availability, high performance, high level of security and zero data loss
11. Strong development background in Java, with recent development experience
12. Proven experience with stream processing software platforms (e.g. Kafka, Flink)
13. Experience in SOA, Microservices, gRPC, Containerization (Kubernetes, Helm charts)
14. Good understanding of platform and infrastructure (hardware, virtualization, cloud, OCP etc.)
15. Mastering UML, TOGAF Certified
16. University degree in a relevant subject
17. Excellent communication skills in English
18. EU citizenship
Nice to Have Skills:
19. Experience in Spring Boot, Drools, Elastic Search, Apache ZooKeeper, Apache Helix, or similar tools and frameworks
20. Experience with Sparx Enterprise Architect
21. ArchiMate Certified
22. Working experience with EU client or other public institutions
23. Experience with biometric systems
24. Experience in Agile/Lean methods such as Scrum and/or Kanban Qualifications. TOGAF, Sparx, Kubernetes, Apache Kafka, Apache Flink, Helm, Unified Modeling Language (UML)
