As Sales Director, you are responsible for defining and executing the international sales strategy. You lead and develop the sales team while ensuring the achievement of ambitious growth targets across multiple global markets. You combine strong strategic thinking with hands-on commercial drive and know how to deliver sustainable growth in a competitive international environment.
Key responsibilities
* Develop and implement a global sales strategy to achieve revenue targets and expand the international customer base
* Analyze market trends and identify new business opportunities in both existing and emerging markets
* Collaborate with the executive team to define short- and long-term objectives and translate them into actionable plans
* Contribute to and lead key account plans for strategic customers
* Align closely with marketing and operations to ensure effective go-to-market strategies
* Lead, coach, and evaluate the sales team with a focus on performance and development
* Act as a key liaison between sales, marketing, operations, customer service, logistics, and finance
* Monitor and analyze sales KPIs, adjusting strategies where necessary
* Manage the sales budget, forecasting, and reporting to senior management
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders
* Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by proactively addressing needs and resolving issues
* Represent the company at international trade shows, industry events, and networking opportunities
* Conduct ongoing market research to stay informed on industry developments and competitive activity
* Identify risks and opportunities, adapting the sales strategy accordingly
* Provide insights and recommendations to product development and marketing based on market feedback
Your profile
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA is a plus) xphnsxz
* Minimum of 10 years' experience in a senior sales leadership role, ideally within an international or multinational environment
* Proven track record in developing and executing successful sales strategies
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and grow teams
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
* Solid understanding of global markets and cultural dynamics
* Experience with CRM systems and Microsoft Office
* Willingness to travel internationally on a regular basis
* Languages: fluent in English and French; Spanish and/or German are a plus
