We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team in West Flanders. This role is essential in ensuring the accuracy of financial records, supporting compliance, and contributing to efficient financial operations within the organization.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the general ledger and ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processesPrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statementsReconcile accounts and investigate discrepanciesEnsure compliance with Belgian GAAP, VAT, and statutory requirementsSupport the preparation of audits and liaise with external auditorsAssist with tax filings and regulatory reportingContribute to process improvements and system enhancementsProvide support and guidance to junior accounting staff
Qualifications and Experience~ Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field~3–8 years of relevant accounting experience~ Strong knowledge of Belgian accounting standards and tax regulations~ Solid understanding of accounting systems and ERP tools~ High level of accuracy and attention to detail~ Strong analytical and organizational skills~ Fluency in Dutch and good command of English; French is a plus
