We are seeking an accomplished Trade Compliance Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective trade compliance policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to relevant regulations and laws.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain trade compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to EU, UK, and local laws.
* Conduct regular checks and audits to identify gaps and take corrective action.
* Provide advice and training on compliance to ensure all personnel understand the rules.
* Maintain awareness of changes to European regulations and update processes accordingly.
* Collaborate with international teams to ensure global operations meet all legal requirements.
* Act as primary point of contact for regulatory bodies, ensuring timely submission of accurate reports and filings.
* Work with various departments to tackle compliance issues and implement controls.
* Identify potential breaches of compliance and address them promptly.
Requirements
* A degree in a relevant field such as business, law, or finance is preferred but not essential. Alternatively, demonstrable experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, or a related field is required, ideally in Europe.
* Excellent knowledge of relevant regulations and their practical applications is crucial.
* Strong analytical skills are necessary to untangle complex rules and their impact on the business.
* A proven track record of creating and leading compliance programs in Europe is highly desirable.
* Relevant certification such as Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional is preferred.
* Experience working with multiple entity situations is beneficial.
* Ability to report information concisely to senior management is essential.
* Experience handling sensitive information is vital.
