Overview
Join Axon and be a Force for Good. At Axon, we\'re on a mission to Protect Life, pursuing safety and justice issues with our ecosystem of devices and cloud software. Life at Axon is fast-paced, challenging and meaningful. Here, you\'ll take ownership and drive real change.
Your Impact
The Axon SkyHero Firmware team in the Robotics New Ventures Pillar supports critical Drone offerings for Special Forces and Law Enforcement. These Drones work together to provide Tactical Reconnaissance and Advantage during critical missions. Both aerial and ground robots are developed. See the product portfolio at the following link: https://www.axon.com/products/axon-sky-hero. We are developing disruptive next-generation drone technology to advance our mission to Protect Life. The SkyHero Firmware team owns the lower-level middleware on a powerful Embedded Linux SOC and Flight Controller, handling all firmware aspects related to flying. This team collaborates with adjacent Controls and Vision Engineers.
As a Robotics Quality Assurance Sr. Engineer on the SkyHero Firmware team, you\'ll be the first line of defense to ensure our drones fly, drive and respond as customers expect. You will derive complex Test Plans and Test Cases for the entire drone ecosystem, focusing on how they actually fly and drive. You will work with flight simulators, motion capture facilities, and a variety of lab equipment. You will also write Python scripts with AI-assisted tooling to help control drones and parse logs. You will collaborate with Firmware Engineers, Controls Engineers, Product Managers, Software Test Automation Engineers and other Robotics QA Engineers to achieve high quality outcomes.
Working on these next-generation robotics products is a career-defining opportunity to help advance the mission to Protect Life.
