Job Title: Data Intelligence Specialist

We are seeking a versatile and driven AI Scientist with a foundational background in AI research and a keen interest in applying machine learning to complex biological data.
The ideal candidate will have practical experience with contemporary deep learning frameworks, a history of problem-solving with AI/ML tools, and a willingness to engage in collaborative research.
This role involves conducting research and development of AI/ML algorithms for the analysis of high-throughput biological data and knowledge graphs, to further the understanding and finding treatments for age-related diseases.
You will participate in the Artificial Intelligence unit's efforts to develop and refine AI/ML models with a focus on graph machine learning.
In addition, you will support the implementation of ML algorithms and assist in validating and testing these models to ensure accuracy and reliability.
This role requires a solid understanding of AI/ML principles, statistical methods, and the ability to apply this knowledge to biological datasets.
Proficient programming skills in Python and R are essential, while experience with SAS is beneficial.
You should also be familiar with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and JAX, as well as database management systems, both relational and non-relational.
Familiarity with project management tools like Jira and version control systems like Git is also required.
A MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related field with a focus on AI/ML model development is necessary.
The ideal candidate will have research experience in AI/ML with a portfolio or publications demonstrating a focus on machine learning and computational analysis.
Skillful use of container technologies like Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes is desirable.
Competence in cloud computing (Azure, AWS, GCP) is beneficial, and certifications in these technologies are advantageous.
