Role overviewThe Accountant will be responsible for the accounting operations of ACK3 and its international subsidiaries, ensuring compliance with both Spanish GAAP (PGC) and IFRS. This role combines hands-on accounting with exposure to multi-entity management, monthly closings, tax compliance, and group consolidation. A background in audit (Big4 or mid-tier firm) is highly valued, as it provides the analytical rigor and control mindset required to maintain financial accuracy and consistency across multiple jurisdictions.
Key responsibilities
* Manage day-to-day accounting operations for several entities (portfolio of companies): journal entries, AP/AR, expense control, supplier payments, and bank reconciliations.
* Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial statements.
* Maintain and optimize the Holded accounting system, ensuring accurate configuration, reporting, and automation.
* Prepare financial statements under Spanish GAAP (PGC) and assist in IFRS adjustments for group reporting.
* Perform intercompany reconciliations and support group consolidation processes.
* Support the financial planning and budgeting process, including preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
* Manage tax compliance for Spanish entities, including VAT (IVA), Corporate Income Tax (CIT/IS), and withholdings (IRPF).
* Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors for statutory audits and compliance matters.
* Prepare management reports and support the Finance Manager / CFO with financial analysis and insights.
* Identify opportunities to improve processes and strengthen internal controls.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, and HR to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
Requirements
* Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
* 3–5 years of accounting experience, ideally including prior experience in external audit (Big4 or mid-tier firm).
* Strong knowledge of Spanish GAAP (PGC) and IFRS.
* Experience in monthly closings, multi-entity accounting, and preparation of statutory financial statements.
* Solid understanding of Spanish taxes (VAT, CIT, withholdings).
* Experience with Holded or similar ERP/accounting tools.
* Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis).
* Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet strict deadlines.
* Proficiency in English (B2 level or above).
* Analytical, detail-oriented, and highly organized.
* Proactive and adaptable, with a focus on continuous improvement and collaboration.
Selection process
The recruitment process consists of two stages:
