Responsibilities / Tasks
As Project Manager you will be part of the engineering team. You will support the Sales Engineers and also take responsibility for the execution of projects in several industries (process engineering, piping, installation).
Typical industries of our customers : chemical industry, glass production plants, steel factories, non- ferrous metals industry, cement productions, waste management.
* Calculate and execute projects for what we call chemical business (GEA Bischoff, GEA Wiegand, GEA Messo, GEA Niro).
* Make offers/calculations for local integration in Belgium of sustainable solutions supplied by German GEA Technology Centers (Gas washers, DeNox/DeSox installations, evaporators, Carbon capture plants, etc.)
* Act as Project Manager after selling these projects to customers, local contact for customers in Belgium and liaison person with GEA and non-GEA subsuppliers.
* Requesting quotes for materials and subcontractors for piping, cranes, insulation, electrical installation and automation.
* On-site follow-up of mechanical teams (welders).
* On-site follow-up of subcontractors (insulation companies, electrical contractors, etc.).
* Safety: conducting site inspections, toolbox meetings, drawing up and managing project safety plans.
* Single point of contact for customers.
Your Profile / Qualifications
* You have a bachelor or master degree in industrial engineering in fields such as chemistry, process technology, mechanical engineering, electromechanics.
* You are customer-oriented and creative and can switch quickly when required.
* You have a VOL-VCA or are willing to obtain one.
* You have an affinity with process technology.
* Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role in plant engineering and construction.
* You are fluent in Dutch and English. Knowledge of French is a plus.
