Division: Group Technology Services (GTS)
Group Technology Services plans, builds and runs the global infrastructure of Euroclear, and is additionally responsible for the IT service management to the operating entities of the various Group markets. The division operates its IT systems and IT services in such a way that, at an appropriate and benchmarked cost level, it can deliver the agreed levels of service to support the requirements of the business processes, for both normal operations and during disaster recovery.
Your role
We are looking for a junior and motivated Mainframe System Engineer to join our squad in the CORE Tribe. As part of a team of around 20 mainframe engineers, you will focus on monitoring and automating mainframe processes and activities but also maintaining specific products on the platform.
Additionally, you will perform watch duty and participate in some weekend activities, such as regular business resilience exercises like SWAP and RDR.
Your responsibilities
1. Offer expertise to support and troubleshoot infrastructure issues when problems arise.
2. Evaluate the compatibility and integration of proposed products/services to ensure a cohesive architecture across interdependent technologies.
3. Ensure systems are properly operated, maintained, and that system evolutions are successfully implemented.
4. Provide specialized system expertise in a specific technology (mainly scheduling software’s such as CA7, IBM TWS).
5. Act as an expert in a technology, offering 2nd and 3rd level support for specific products.
6. Maintain effective relationships with external suppliers to ensure appropriate levels of support.
7. Monitor the usage, capacity, and performance of IT systems.
8. Identify and automate recurring manual tasks to minimize risk and reduce manual effort.

Your technical skills
14. 2+ years of professional experience on a Mainframe environment
15. Experience installing, maintaining, and administering mainframe third party products (any experience in scheduling software like CA7, IBM TWS is a plus)
16. General mainframe troubleshooting and performance tuning
