JUNO Genetics-Spain is looking for a Genetic Analyst to join the team located in Valencia whose mission will be to provide a specialist clinical service in a reproductive genetics laboratory including the services in the different laboratory departments, mainly for the purpose of preimplantation genetic testing (PGT), following the molecular genetic testing protocols and participating in the maintenance of the clinical quality performance of the genetic laboratory.
Main responsibilities:
* To analyse and interpret results (NGS, qPCR,etc) and approve results according to standard procedures.
* To evaluate feasibility of individual cases for different PGT tests (PGT-A, PGT-SR, PGT-M).
* To communicate patient results and answer enquiries from health care professionals, providing information and explaining results, within departmental guidelines and according to the professional code of conduct.
* To assist in the maintenance of IQC and QC systems for the laboratory’s genetic tests.
* To assist, when required, in the preparation of documents for the laboratory’s Quality Management System, according to the standards of ISO15189 and ISP.
Position requirements:
* Academic training: BSc /MSc or equivalent in Biological Sciences.
* Languages: Fluent English.
* Experience: Previous experience in data interpretation (MLPA, NGS, qPCR etc). Clinical laboratory experience in human genetics. Cross-disciplinary and strong analytical skills as well as broad experience using computational methods, databases, software and hardware. Knowledge of maintaining an accredited clinical service including ENAC (ISO 15189).
