Company
Our client is a Belgian NPO, a community of business leaders fostering collective learning and exchange about sustainability issues and best practices for regenerative businesses, in the framework of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
They are today looking for a CEO to help its impact grow.
Position
The CEO is responsible for operational, financial and administrative management of the organization. She/He will manage the definition and implementation of the strategy, coordinate the staff, ensure members’ inclusion in the decision process, and report to the board.
Main objectives include :
* Foster trust and connections among members of the community.
* Foster information and learning of members through a qualitative program of events, workgroup, academic sessions etc.
* Support a qualitative growth in the Belgian community of CEOs and board members.
* Leading the strategic decisions to achieve the community’s mission.
The position is based on a 4-day per week contract, with some flexibility.
Candidate profile
The company is a small start-up type of organisation, involving a wide variety of tasks and requiring a hands-on attitude coupled with a strong combination of strategic, operational, interpersonal and organisation skills.
Other main competences and desired experiences are the following :
* Experience working in or with business organizations and networks.
* Network animation; meeting and workshops facilitation; event organization.
* Project and budget management.
* Analytics and structure.
* Good knowledge of sustainability issues.
* Vision shaping, strategy building.
* Active listening, trust building, collaboration.
* Fluency in English and in French and/or Dutch.
* Candidate with personal values that will align well with those of the organization, namely benevolence, open-mindedness, transparency, sense of action, and intellectual rigor.
