We are currently looking for a skilled IT Change Manager to join our team in support of a high-profile international defense client based in Mons, Belgium.
The successful candidate will contribute to configuration and change management processes, support system and software life cycles, and provide data-driven insights to improve organizational change initiatives. This is a full-time, on-site position and requires an active NATO Secret Security Clearance.
Key Responsibilities:
Risk Management
* Conduct risk management activities within specific functions, technical areas, or medium-complexity projects.
* Identify risks and vulnerabilities, assess their impact and likelihood, and develop mitigation strategies.
* Report findings to business stakeholders and involve domain experts when necessary.
Requirements Definition and Management
* Use standard techniques to elicit, specify, and document requirements for clearly defined subject areas.
* Assist in defining and managing requirements, establishing baselines, and investigating authorized changes.
Configuration Management
* Propose and agree on configuration items (CIs) with appropriate naming conventions.
* Implement operational processes for secure configuration, classification, and CI management.
* Develop, configure and maintain tools (including automation) identify, track, log and maintain accurate, complete and current information.
* Report on configuration status and recommend corrective actions when issues arise.
Change Control
* Assess, analyze, develop, document, and implement changes based on requests for change.
* Ensure effective operational processes are in place for change control.
* Develop, configure and maintain tools to manage and report on the lifecycle of change requests.
* Identify problems and recommend corrective measures.
Software Development Life Cycle
* Summarize processes for developing new software and differentiate roles across engineering and business functions.
* Identify common considerations for bringing products to market.
* Describe major phases, checkpoints, and deliverables.
IT Service Change Management
* Provide status reports on implemented IT service changes to senior management.
* Implement routine changes within live IT service environments.
* Generate schedules and time estimates for service changes.
* Analyze risks, costs, and benefits of proposed changes.
* Document procedures and updates related to IT services.
System Development Life Cycle
* Clarify the similarities and differences among life cycles; label and describe each phase.
* Explain the basic concepts of a structured approach to application development.
* Describe associated standards, procedures and guidelines for the system development life cycle.
* Highlight the major phases, activities, checkpoints and deliverables in the system life cycle.
Data Analysis & Reporting
* Collect, analyze, and interpret quantitative and qualitative data to evaluate change initiatives.
* Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
* Identify risks and improvement opportunities using data insights.
* Track post-implementation outcomes to measure effectiveness and sustainability.
* Create dashboards, reports, and visualizations for stakeholders.
* Familiarity with tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms is highly appreciated.
Experience, Education & Certifications
* Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of relevant professional experience, (in exceptional cases, candidates without a university degree may be considered if they have at least 6 years of extensive and progressive experience directly related to the role).
* Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience managing change requests from initiation through closure while engaging with process owners and stakeholders.
* ITIL Foundation Certification is required.
* Active NATO Secret Security Clearance is required
