Freelance Business Controller – Brussels

Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Business Controller to support a leading international organisation based in Brussels. In this role, you will act as a key finance partner to the business, providing insight, analysis, and decision support to drive performance and strategic initiatives.


Key Responsibilities
Act as a finance business partner to senior stakeholders across multiple departments
Lead the monthly closing process , including variance analysis and reporting
Prepare and deliver financial forecasts, budgets, and long-range plans
Provide clear, data-driven insights to support business decision-making
Analyse financial performance and identify risks and opportunities
Support cost control initiatives and monitor operational efficiency
Drive improvements in financial processes, tools, and reporting
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, commercial, and supply chain
Profile
Proven experience as a Business Controller / Finance Business Partner
Strong background in FP&A, reporting, and financial modelling
Experience working in a multinational or complex environment
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Ability to translate financial data into actionable insights
Advanced Excel skills; knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP) is a plus
Fluent in English (French and/or Dutch is an advantage)
