We are looking for a Sales Manager for our International markets to lead commercial execution and market development activities of the Maribo and Hilleshog seed portfolio in a number of countries, including managing agents and distributors, business strategy, marketing plan, branding, pricing, sales target, and budget.
What you’ll do:
You will be responsible for the delivery of the annual commercial plan for Maribo and Hilleshog in International markets, which include China, Japan, North Africa, Middle East, India, and its execution through agents and distributors. This includes responsibility for the volume and profit delivery as well as ensuring excellence in execution through e.g. budgets and sales forecasting. In addition, you will also be responsible for the development of the 3-5 years commercial plan, within the framework of the UBS strategy.
• You will translate and implement UBS Marketing & Sales strategy into clearly defined objectives for the countries for which you are responsible, to ensure that the goals for the region can be realized.
• You take ownership of the sales forecast (volume, value and delivery timing) ensuring a rolling 3-year forecasting horizon
• You oversee pricing execution and ensure market competitiveness
• You ensure alignment with UBS standards in execution, branding, and customer engagement.
• You drive agent and distributor performance through regular reviews, training, and support.
• You monitor market trends and competitor actions to adapt strategy for the assigned territory
• You manage the Maribo and Hilleshog marketing strategy at country level, including pricing, sales plan and branding
• You manage the participation in national organizations, seed associations and national committees.
What you’ll bring:
Master’s degree in Agronomy, Agricultural Sciences, business administration or a related field
At least 7 years of sales or commercial experience in international role and multicultural environment, preferably within the seed industry or broader agricultural sector.
Demonstrated sales leadership experience in managing indirect sales channels (agents, distributors) is essential.
Strong negotiation skills to manage contracts, pricing, and terms with partners.
Excellent command of English is essential; additional languages (e.g., French, Arabic) are a strong asset.
Availability to travel within the assigned territory as needed
