We are looking for a Domain / Solution Architect to support a large corporate IT department responsible for delivering and maintaining applications across key business functions including HR, Facilities, CIO, CRO and CFO domains.
The environment is dynamic, with both ongoing maintenance activities and multiple transformation projects planned in the coming years. The architect will play a key role as a bridge between business stakeholders and IT teams, ensuring that business needs are translated into robust, scalable and coherent solutions.
You will work in a complex and heterogeneous technical environment and contribute to transversal initiatives such as e‑invoicing (PEPPOL), SAP migration strategy and regulatory‑driven transformations.
Responsibilities
Your missions:
Act as the link between business teams and IT (functional & technical teams)
Gather, challenge, consolidate and prioritize business requirements
Define and design end‑to‑end solution architectures (functional & technical)
Propose innovative and pragmatic solutions aligned with business needs and IT constraints
Ensure consistency with architecture standards, development practices and operational risks
Support and guide implementation phases while ensuring architectural compliance
Contribute to application and solution architecture governance
Facilitate communication and collaboration across stakeholders at all levels
Your activities:
Requirements & Solution Definition
Collect, analyze and structure business requirements
Negotiate priorities and propose alternatives when needed
Define the approach to ensure consistent and reliable solutions
Design solutions for complex or innovative business problems
Analysis & Design
Compare solution options (functional, technological, cost) and recommend the best fit
Define target architectures and possible migration paths
Perform functional architecture analysis and estimate implementation costs
Collaborate with business experts and ensure knowledge transfer
Support functional and technical analysts during implementation
Ensure compliance with architecture standards throughout project lifecycle
Maintain functional coherence across application domains
Integrate new business needs into existing systems
Provide guidance and coaching to development teams
Stakeholder Management
Build strong relationships with business and IT stakeholders
Support project leaders and managers in client interactions
Communicate effectively with both technical and non‑technical audiences

Proven experience in similar roles (Solution / Domain Architecture)
Strong knowledge of architecture principles (SOA, design patterns, methodologies)
Ability to design and build functional architecture for complex applications
Capability to maintain a holistic “big picture” view
Experience in insurance or banking is a plus
Technical Skills
Good understanding of technologies and software development lifecycle
Familiarity with integration challenges
Knowledge of package management
Proficiency with MS Office tools
Knowledge of SQL, .NET, ETL is a plus
Languages
English: Fluent (mandatory)
Dutch and French: one fluent, the other at least good
Qualification Requirements
At least 5 years of professional experience in IT
Fluency in French/English or Dutch/English is best
