For one of our strategic transformation programs we are currently looking for a Business Transformation Lead (freelance/independent contractor).
Successful candidate will own the end-to-end business value of the transformation program, beyond IT delivery. They will act as the single point of accountability for business outcomes, benefits realization, and value tracking. They will rebalance the program from an IT-centric execution to a business-driven transformation.
Key Responsibilities
* Translate business strategy and priorities into concrete transformation roadmaps
* Ensure all implemented solutions deliver measurable business value (ROI, efficiency, quality, customer impact)
* Drive end-to-end process thinking across functions and sites, avoiding local optimizations
* Coordinate and align all business stakeholders (Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, Quality, HR, etc.)
* Challenge scope, priorities, and design choices to protect business value over technical perfection
* Own the benefits realization framework and ensure value is tracked, communicated, and delivered
* Act as a bridge between Business, IT, and Program Governance, ensuring shared accountability
* Support executive decision-making with fact-based insights, trade-offs, and impact analysis
* Embed change at business level, not only system adoption
Desired Qualifications
* Strong background in business transformation and large-scale programs in industrial or manufacturing environments
* Proven ability to lead cross-functional transformation, not just manage projects
* Solid understanding of digital, ERP, MES, PLM environments, without being IT-driven
* Credible sparring partner for executive leadership and business owners
* Comfortable challenging existing ways of working and driving difficult decisions
* Pragmatic, outcome-oriented, value-driven mindset
* Fluent in French and English

Initial contract is for 6 months with extensions after.
Presence on site in Liege area are will be required 4 days/week.
