The Site & Plant Leader of Tessenderlo is the asset owner of the PS production plant.You are accountable for operation in compliance with all applicable regulations and makes sure that performance goals regarding EH&S, quality, reliability, cost effectiveness and production volume are met. You will cooperate with the improvement team and the T&I team to implement strategic capital projects and new products. The PS products are successful in generating significant EBITDA for Trinseo. Operate the plant in full compliance with all regulatory and internal Trinseo EH&S requirements; make sure the management system is fully implemented. Drives a strong personal safety, process safety, and environmental improvement plan to achieve EH&S goals and ensure compliance with regulatory and permit requirements. Deliver on performance goals, e.g. production volume, quality, reliability, cost effectiveness Drive continuous improvement to increase efficiency Support innovation and growth projects by execution of plant trials and new technology implementation, contribute to develop the business strategy Provide people leadership to the employees of the Tessenderlo site for maximum engagement through clear goal setting, effective communication, coaching and development of individuals and giving direction on organizational changes Develops and sponsors Trinseo’s future leaders and mentors key talents on site. Owns, fosters and develops the promising talent pipeline on the site. Engages and develops high potentials in site projects. Promotes continuous improvement in employee engagement and satisfaction. Shows courageous leadership by coaching, asking questions, and intervening when needed. Challenges status quo and past norms to make the operation safer and more effective. Escalates issues appropriately to leadership through effective communications and formal compliance plan processes where required. Drives progress to meet the committed compliance date. Ensure effective collaboration and communication with all relevant stakeholders, e.g. peer leaders, quality team, T&I team, improvement team, project construction team, local & global support functions (EH&S, HR, finance, procurement), works council, external partners & service providers, senior management Bachelor's Degree or higher in Chemical Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineer or other relevant engineering/science disciplines. 15 years of manufacturing plant experience in the chemical industry Hazardous materials management Demonstrated experience in leading team for results. Strong team collaboration skills and a dvanced ability to lead and develop people Technically savvy – interested and fluent in engineering and technology applicable to the work environment. High level of safety awareness, ethics and integrity Ability to easily connect with people and build strong relationship Broad technical knowledge and analytical / problem solving skills Strong Communication skills (verbal, written, instructional etc.) Fluent in written and spoken English.
