A large public-sector organization managing critical information systems is looking for an IT Security Specialist to support its cybersecurity division.
The role focuses on protecting, monitoring, and strengthening the security of complex IT environments used in sensitive operational contexts that require high reliability and compliance.
Role Overview
* The consultant will ensure adherence to internal security policies, perform regular system assessments, and intervene during security incidents.
* They will play a key role in preventing, detecting, and resolving security threats while supporting the secure operation of infrastructure and internal/external connections.
Responsibilities
* Ensure proper enforcement of internal IT security policies.
* Perform technical assessments of the health and security posture of IT systems.
* React efficiently to major incidents (intrusions, cyberattacks, malware detections).
* Define scenarios and procedures for effective incident response.
* Recommend and implement technical solutions to secure external, intranet, and internet connections.
* Identify vulnerabilities in Windows, Linux, iOS, and Android environments and propose remediation actions.
* Conduct risk analyses on IT systems and prepare clear reports for management.
Education & Experience
* Degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or equivalent experience.
* At least 5 years of experience in a similar IT security role.
* 5+ years of hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls (Panorama knowledge is a strong asset).
* 5+ years of experience with VPN and Web Proxy solutions.
* 10+ years of proven experience with BIG-IP F5 (APM, ASM/AWAF, LTM, GTM, SSL VPN).
Technical Skills
* TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS, SSL, SNMP protocols
* Routers, stateful inspection firewalls, application firewalls (Palo Alto)
* Endpoint protection and antivirus systems
* VPN technologies (remote access and site-to-site)
* Content inspection systems for email and web browsing
* Monitoring & log correlation tools: Splunk, Nessus, ELK
* Operating systems: Windows Server / Azure, Enterprise Linux (preferably RHEL), Windows 10/11
* Wireless security (Wi-Fi, WEP, WPA, WPA2)
* Cryptographic concepts and algorithms (Public/Private Key, RSA, DES, 3DES, AES, etc.)
