Job Description for an Equity Derivatives Dealer:
Trade Execution: Execute buy and sell orders for equities and derivatives segment, ensuring timely and accurate transactions on behalf of clients or the firm.
Market Analysis: Stay informed about market trends, economic indicators, and company-specific news to make informed trading decisions.
Risk Management: Assess and manage risks associated with equity trading, including market volatility, liquidity, and other relevant factors.
Client Interaction: Communicate with clients to understand their investment goals and preferences, providing advice and updates on market conditions.
Compliance: Ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines and compliance with internal policies and procedures.
Portfolio Management: Assist in managing and optimizing equity portfolios to achieve client objectives and maximize returns.
Technology Utilization: Make use of trading platforms and technology tools to execute trades efficiently and stay updated on market information.
Performance Tracking: Monitor the performance of portfolios and provide regular reports to clients or senior management.
Requirements
Experience: Prior experience in equity trading or financial markets is often preferred.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and quantitative skills to analyze market trends and make informed decisions.
Communication Skills: Effective communication skills to interact with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
Risk Management: Ability to assess and manage risks associated with equity trading.
Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements. NISM VIII certification.
Adaptability: The financial markets can be dynamic, so a dealer should be adaptable and able to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.
