We are looking for a Digital Technology Lead - Project Delivery Research & Early Development who is passionate about science and technology, has a highly collaborative, innovative and curious mindset and brings maximum two years of experience to join us in our Digital Technology team for Research & Early Development, based in Belgium (Braine l’Alleud and Brussels office).
About the role
You will be working in a team that leads the delivery of technology solutions supporting research & early development in life sciences. Based on a growing understanding of technology in the life sciences research context, and insight in IT architecture and IT delivery models, and by taking an increasingly strategic perspective you identify opportunities to add value and collaborate effectively across Digital Technology teams to strengthen, streamline and future-proof the research & early development data, code and computer infrastructure. Additionally, you will proactively explore the external and internal technology innovation opportunity space, build business cases and pitch them confidently to relevant stakeholders in Patient Solutions.

You will be working in a multi-disciplinary, international team within the Digital Technology team for Research & Early Development, collaborating with experts across research, digital technology and data goverance. You will engage with stakeholders to understand needs, address challenges, and drive innovation in a supportive and inclusive environment.
What you’ll do
In this entry-level role, you will progressively develop following competencies:
1. Lead technology projects from planning through execution and closure, ensuring alignment with strategic goals
2. Manage project scope, schedule, cost, and stakeholders to deliver advanced technology solutions
3. Communicate project status, risks, and mitigation strategies to all stakeholders
4. Inspire and guide project teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement
5. Develop a deep understanding and thought leadership on research laboratory systems, scientific experiment data acquisition, data integration, data analysis, as well as the emerging “in-silico science” area
6. Explore opportunities for innovation and build business cases with relevant stakeholders
Interested? For this role we’re looking for the following education, experience, and skills
7. Master’s, Ph.D., or equivalent degree in a scientific or technology domain (e.g. bio-engineer, biomedical sciences, pharmacy)
8. Initial exposure to project or program management of digital or technology solutions is a plus (internships welcome)
9. Basic understanding of research and development processes in the life sciences industry is a plus
10. Strong written and verbal communication skills
11. Experience working or living in diverse international environments is a plus
