Assignment Context
As part of the continuous strengthening and evolution of its IT infrastructure, a large-scale organization is seeking a Senior Network Security Engineer to ensure optimal security across critical and complex environments.
The assignment takes place in a high-responsibility operational context requiring strong expertise, autonomy, and responsiveness.
Work mode: Hybrid – mandatory on-site presence at least 3 days per week.
Key Responsibilities
Network Security Design & Implementation
* Define, design, and deploy robust network security strategies.
* Configure, maintain, and optimize security equipment: firewalls (including Palo Alto), VPNs, WAF, proxies (forward and reverse), and load balancers.
* Implement and manage secure access solutions (ZTNA).
* Secure ISP connections, Express Route, WiFi networks, and DNS solutions.
* Administer authentication systems such as TACACS and LDAP.
Network Infrastructure Management
* Manage routing and switching environments (static, dynamic, inter-domain).
* Administer advanced MPLS and IP routing environments.
* Ensure performance, availability, and resilience of network infrastructures.
* Continuously monitor environments to detect threats and anomalies.
* Manage security incidents and coordinate corrective actions.
* Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
* Intervene rapidly in case of critical (P1) incidents.
* Provide advanced technical support.
* Collaborate closely with infrastructure, development, and business teams.
* Automate network tasks through scripting to enhance operational efficiency.
* Maintain technical documentation and knowledge sharing.
Profile Required
Experience
* Minimum 5–8 years of experience in network security within complex environments.
* Recent and advanced experience with:
o Firewall (expert), especially Palo Alto
o IP Routing (expert)
o Switching (expert)
o MPLS (expert)
o VPN (advanced)
o Algosec (advanced)
o Express Route (advanced)
o LDAP (expert)
o Proxy & WAF (intermediate)
o Load Balancing (intermediate)
o Scripting (intermediate)
Proven ability to independently manage complex Palo Alto firewall operations is highly expected.
Technical Skills
* Deep expertise in network security and secure architectures.
* Strong knowledge of routing protocols and security standards.
* Solid understanding of cloud security and data protection (in transit and at rest).
* Familiarity with operating systems used in network environments.
* Knowledge of cryptographic standards and secure communication protocols.
* Automation skills using common scripting languages.
