Field Measurement Engineer (ref code: FME_12_25)
We are currently looking to expand our onsite Measurements Support Operations team based in Mechelen, Belgium, with a Field Measurement Engineer. It's a fulltime temporary position until December 2026.
Main Responsibilities
* Perform field measurements of mobile networks;
* Mainly while driving; but also, in trains and in static/walk test mode
* Daily communication with customer support
* Configure, operate, upgrade, troubleshoot & maintain the Rohde & Schwarz/SwissQual measurement equipment or equipment provided by the customer
* Participate, if needed, in making detailed measurement route planning
* Ensure measurement integrity, data validity & systematic organisation of output data
Basic qualifications and experience
* BSc degree (or higher) in Electrical and/or Telecom Engineering or relevant field
* Working proficiency in Windows & MS Office
* Valid driving license and driving experience in Belgium
* Fluency in English (spoken & written)
* Be a team player with good communication skills.
* Be self-motivated, willing to take initiative and ownership, solution oriented with a “can” do attitude.
Favoured qualifications and experience
* Affinity with smartphones
* Understanding or RF principles in 2G/3G/4G/5G
* Fluency in Dutch or French
