What you will do
You will contribute to the development and optimization of advanced D2W bonding processes, focusing more specifically on the characterization of the process (overlay, wafer/die shape metrology, defect inspection). You will collaborate closely with R&D engineers to develop, execute, and improve bonding processes. You will be part of the metrology and inspection (M&I) group within the Angstrom Patterning department.
As Metrology And Inspection R&D Engineer, You Will
* Be part of focus team aiming to develop Die-to-Wafer (D2W) bonding processes and metrology
* Interact with the customer to understand technical requirements and translate them into test plans and dedicated experiments
* Interact with process stakeholders (bonding, lithography, clean…) to answer their needs and their process requirements
* Be the technical metrology and inspection point of contact between customers, imec integration and process teams
* Operate various metrology and inspection tools in Imec cleanroom to enable full characterization of the process
* Extract measurement data, analyze, understand correlations and process effects and feedback to various stakeholders
* Regularly report and discuss data with focus team and customer
* Be responsible for organizing and maintaining documentation
* Report results and project progress in review meetings

Who you are
* You hold a PhD in Applied Sciences, Material Engineering or Electronics or M.Sc. Degree in similar fields with at least 2-3 years of experience
* You have hands‑on experience in metrology within a high‑tech cleanroom environment.
* You are proactive, positive, and hands‑on, with a strong willingness to learn.
* You excel at working in complex environments involving multiple partners and customers.
* You demonstrate flexibility and resilience when facing change or ambiguity.
* You are detail‑oriented and work with high accuracy.
* You possess excellent communication skills in English.
* You are confident in delivering presentations to diverse audiences.
