Overview

Belgian Coast & City Hotels is the umbrella organisation for 11 hotels franchised by the international hotel chain Accor. We provide support to the hotels in the areas of finance, sales, marketing and HR. In autumn 2024, we will open a new branch in Zaventem, Mövenpick Brussels Airport, and we are seeking an enthusiastic General Manager to lead the startup and ongoing operations.


About Mövenpick Brussels Airport

Mövenpick is a 4-star premium brand franchised under Accor. In the heart of Zaventem, between the NATO headquarters and The Corporate Village, Mövenpick Brussels Airport will feature 220 hotel rooms, a rooftop restaurant, sky lounge and wellness.


Job Description

We are looking for a General Manager to help start up the hotel as well as help shape its operations. Once the hotel has opened, you will be the face of the hotel, help build awareness and image, and be responsible for the daily business activities and the corresponding reporting. As General Manager, you will manage and coach the entire team, focusing on the P&L with attention to cost efficiency, personnel management and customer satisfaction of hotel guests. Commercial activities are also important, including active prospecting and attracting the B2B target group/travellers.


Responsibilities

* Lead the start-up and ongoing operations of Mövenpick Brussels Airport.
* Be the face of the hotel post-opening; build awareness and image.
* Manage daily business activities and reporting; supervise and coach the team.
* Drive P&L performance with a focus on cost efficiency and personnel management.
* Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
* Engage in commercial activities, including prospecting and attracting B2B travellers.


Qualifications

* Several years of experience in the world of hospitality as a manager.
* Strong customer orientation, sociable, and positive attitude.
* Entrepreneurial with a hands-on mentality.
* High sense of responsibility; able to work independently; values communication and empathy; able to motivate the team.
* Problem-solving mindset; flexible and adaptable.
* Well-organised and stress-resistant.
* Excellent written and spoken language skills in Dutch, French and English; additional languages are a plus.
* Commercial awareness and willingness to engage in business development.
