Optimize third-party spend through Total Cost of Ownership and demand management. Secure and strengthen supplier relationships. Define norms and minimum control levels for procurement processes. Drive category management strategies to ensure value creation. The Senior Buyer will play a crucial role in ensuring acquiresthe right products and services from the best suppliers at true market conditionsin all spend categories, with a strong focus onsoftware, cloud, and digital technologies. Function Description AsSenior Buyer – Technology, Cloud & Software Procurement, you will: Implement the Group's IT procurement strategy Negotiate and implement global or local contracts, ensuring savings and alignment with internal customer requirements (cost, quality, lead-time, service level). Manage and monitor supplier performance and risks across your software portfolio. Actively participate in supplier management processes (steering committees, risk assessments, performance reviews) to ensure maximum compliance with contractual obligations. Contribute to cross-category sourcing initiatives and global process/tool improvements. Drive continuous improvement in software contracting practices, with a strong emphasis on SaaS and cloud environments. Requirements Education Master's or Bachelor's degree. Languages Dutch – Fluent French – Fluent English – Fluent Experience Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, preferably in Technology Procurement, with a strong focus on Software and Cloud. Technical Skills (Mandatory) Strong experience with software procurement, software projects, and software asset management. Deep understanding of commercial and contractual models and cost drivers for Software, SaaS, and Cloud Computing. Strong digital affinity and ability to challenge internal client needs with critical analysis. Project management and reporting skills. Risk analysis, financial analysis, and supplier assessment capabilities. Legal, contractual, and compliance knowledge relevant to IT procurement. Preferable: Familiarity with procurement tools (e.G., Ivalua, Ariba ). Knowledge of business administration. Business Skills (Mandatory) Strong knowledge of software dynamics and key market players. Expertise in software contracting models and cloud metrics. Proven negotiation, deal shaping, and closing capabilities. Project management proficiency. Financial analysis expertise.
