As a Hardware Engineer in the microscopy, SEM, TEM group, you’ll help us ensure improvement and optimization of the uptime of tools. You ensure that recurring problems with high impact are handled with priority such that all users can fine-tune innovative processes for tomorrow’s chips. We go smaller than you’ve ever seen! What you will do
Join our cutting-edge semiconductor technology and systems (STS) unit as a Hardware Engineer and help us revolutionize the industry! As a member of our ELMiC group (Electron Microscopy and Characterization), you will play a key role in advancing our electron microscopy inspection techniques, which are critical to characterizing processes and materials at the wafer level. As the Hardware Engineer of all SEM- and TEM tools, you are responsible for maintaining the tools (preparation + maintenance + qualification). You are responsible for setting and maintaining a smart Preventive Maintenance schedule. You collect all required material and ensure maintenance of the tools is done (by tool OEMs). You proactively ensure maintenance of the supporting-tools (pumps, chillers, etc.). You ensure availability of materials needed for PM and CMs. You maintain stock for essential parts needed for PM and CMs. You perform hands-on (hardware/network/Basic ICT – backup management) PM/CM for SEM/TEM tools that are outside warranty. You ensure Green to Green performance for planned PMs. You log all actions in the MES and other used platforms. As a daily tool user/owner in the clean room and the lab, you report tool issues to our OEM and engineering experts. You come up with improvement ideas to smoothen the work. With your contributions, we will achieve our targets and help shape the future of the industry. What we do for you
