Requirements
* 6+ years of experience in utilities or enterprise systems
* 3+ years of hands-on experience as a MECOMS Functional Consultant
* MECOMS Functional Consultant with strong expertise in utility billing and customer information systems to support implementations, enhancements, and transformation initiatives.
* Close collaboration with business stakeholders, architects, technical teams, and vendors to ensure successful delivery across the utilities domain.
* Large-scale transformation programs
* Agile or hybrid delivery models
* Utility billing and customer lifecycle processes
* Metering and consumption data management
* Invoicing, payments, and collections
* Regulatory compliance (EU utilities preferred)
* Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the MECOMS platform
* Understand end-to-end utility processes, including customer lifecycle, metering, billing, settlement, collections, and credit management
* Translate business requirements into functional specifications aligned with MECOMS capabilities
* Configure MECOMS modules to meet business needs while minimizing customization
* Conduct requirement gathering workshops, gap analysis, and solution walkthroughs
* Prepare and maintain functional documentation, including: Functional Design Documents (FDDs), Business process flows, Use cases and acceptance criteria
* Act as the primary interface between business users and technical teams
* Support end-to-end MECOMS implementations, upgrades, and rollouts
* Collaborate with architects and developers to ensure accurate functional implementation
* Support data migration, testing, and deployment activities
* Provide functional support during SIT, UAT, and go-live phases
* Define and execute functional test cases and scenarios
* Support defect triage and resolution during testing cycles
* Ensure solutions meet functional, regulatory, and compliance requirements
* Ensure alignment with utility regulatory standards (especially EU markets where applicable)
* Support integration with third-party systems such as CRM, ERP, MDM, and AMS
* Contribute to process standardization and adoption of best practices across the utilities domain
* Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
* Analytical mindset with attention to detail
* Ability to work in complex, regulated environments
* Experience driving functional design and solution delivery in utilities projects
