HR Site Leader
We are looking for a new colleague to join our Business Line Digital Solutions (BHDSI) in our location in Ieper, Belgium
About the role:
As HR Site Leader, you are the end-to-end owner of the people agenda for our Ypres site. You act as a trusted advisor to local leadership, a people coach for employees, and the bridge between site reality and our broader HR organization.
In a fast-paced SaaS environment, you ensure that HR policies, tools and processes are not only compliant and consistent, but also practical, scalable and human. You combine operational excellence with strategic insight, shaping a work environment where people perform, grow and stay engaged.
This is a hands-on leadership role with full accountability for local HR delivery, labor relations and people development.
What you can look forward to as HR Site Leader:
1. Own the end-to-end HR agenda for the Belgian site (± employees), balancing business needs, people experience and compliance.
2. Act as a trusted advisor to the local leadership team on people leadership, performance management, engagement and organizational topics.
3. Collaborate across the Belgian HR network, HR Business Partners and Centers of Excellence, contributing to HR projects, change activities and cross-site knowledge sharing to support scalable, company-wide initiatives.
4. Leadership of a small team, providing direction and strong leadership on HR related topics
5. Further develop the culture, promoting the ZF Way principles and strong employee engagement
6. Translate global HR strategies, policies and tools into practical, compliant local solutions.
7. Manage employee relations and labor relations at site level, fostering constructive dialogue and proactively addressing issues.
8. Drive talent, learning and workforce initiatives that support business objectives.
9. Ensure strong HR governance, including compliance with Belgian labor law, and chairing the local work council and driving the agenda
Your profile as HR Site Leader:
10. University degree or equivalent experience in HR, Business Administration or a related field.
11. Proven experience (10+ years) in a HR generalist, ideally with some experience of leading a small team
12. Preferred industry experiences: SaaS, automotive
13. Strong knowledge of Belgian social legislation and labor relations
14. Demonstrated experience advising leaders and managing complex employee relations cases
15. People-centric approach supported by data and processes
16. Ability to turn insight into actions based on business strategies
17. Familiar working with Matrix organisation, this role will report to Country HR and Business Line HR
18. Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English, additional languages are a plus.
