We’re looking for an experienced .NET Developer (freelancer) to join a leading telecommunications and digital services company in Brussels. You’ll play a key role in building and enhancing enterprise-grade applications and APIs that power critical business operations and digital transformation initiatives.

* Position: Freelance .NET Developer
* Duration: 12-month contract (with potential extension)
* Day Rate: Competitive
* Location: Brussels, Belgium (Hybrid – 2–3 days onsite)
* Start Date: Mid-November 2025
Core Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and maintain .NET-based applications, APIs, and backend services.
* Collaborate closely with solution architects and product teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
* Implement best practices in software design, performance, and security.
* Integrate applications with cloud services and enterprise systems.
* Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following modern engineering standards.
* Participate in code reviews, CI/CD processes, and Agile ceremonies.
* Diagnose and resolve technical issues across development and production environments.
Essential Skills & Experience
* Proven experience as a .NET Developer, Software Engineer, or similar.
* Strong command of C#, ASP.NET Core, and Entity Framework Core.
* Hands-on experience with RESTful API development and microservices architectures.
* Familiarity with Azure Cloud Services (App Services, Functions, DevOps Pipelines, etc.).
* Solid understanding of SQL Server or Azure SQL databases.
* Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
* Strong analytical skills and a proactive problem-solving mindset.
Nice to Have
* Exposure to Blazor, Angular, or React for front-end integration.
* Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or other containerisation tools.
* Familiarity with CI/CD automation and infrastructure as code.
* Experience integrating authentication and authorisation (e.g., OAuth2, Azure AD).
