Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and optimise scalable data pipelines and architectures. You will play a key role in enabling data-driven insights across the organisation, working closely with data scientists, analysts, and engineering teams.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain robust, scalable data pipelinesBuild and optimise data architectures (data lakes, warehouses, etc.)Ensure high data quality, integrity, and availabilityCollaborate with cross-functional teams to support analytics and reporting needsImplement and manage ETL/ELT processesOptimise performance of large-scale data processing systemsContribute to data platform strategy and best practicesTroubleshoot and resolve data-related issues
Required Skills & Experience5+ years of experience in data engineeringStrong proficiency in Python and/or ScalaSolid experience with SQL and data modellingHands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)Experience with modern data stack tools (e.g., Spark, Airflow, dbt)Strong understanding of data warehousing conceptsExperience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelinesFamiliarity with CI/CD and DevOps practices
Nice to HaveExperience in real-time/streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka)Knowledge of data governance and security best practicesExperience working in agile environmentsBackground in software engineering or platform engineering
