Why This Role Matters
The Human Resource Manager, Marketing and Product is responsible for providing business/human resource (HR) direction to senior leadership teams (SLT-3) of the Marketing and Product business. The role will coach, advise, and act with the purpose of helping the business/function deliver business results. This position will drive global HR initiatives for assigned client groups, while also ensuring execution of day-to-day HR responsibilities. The incumbent will be the thought partner on various initiatives, centered on evolving the Marketing and Product business to even more effective/strategic organizations. He/She will partner with global Marketing and Product Heads and the strategic business unit (SBU) HR Heads to develop/implement organizational, engagement, talent, culture, capability and diversity and inclusion (D&I) strategies for the Marketing and Product business (the team is globally aligned as well as regionally deployed). This role is expected to strongly partner with peers in the other regions to deliver and help the business deliver on its shared goals. This role will drive various HR processes for organizational/associate development - Providing input/consultation to management regarding impact, key actions to be taken and how to ensure success of such initiatives.
What You’ll Do
1. Serve as advisor to senior leader(s) of business / function (SLT-3). Partner with SLT-3 to execute the human resource strategy, including the development, planning and delivery of global HR programs/services.
2. Partner with client groups to develop, advise and support strategic/organizational issues, process improvements, workforce planning, conflict resolution, change management initiatives and organizational development.
3. Partner with business to develop plans to address other business-related matters that have significant impact.
4. Provide stakeholders on various Goodyear HR councils and manage various HR processes (performance management, succession planning, leadership development, etc.) - Driving "One Goodyear Way".
5. Collaborate with Goodyear Leadership, the Human Resource Leadership Team (HRLT) and Centers of Excellence (COE) to develop performance management, succession and career development strategies/approaches.
6. Develop organization development (OD) plans. Utilize/Develop tools and processes to support the business’s needs, increase business impact and strengthen succession bench strength.
7. Drive organization/talent reviews for the client groups
8. Develop/Manage the global talent pipeline - Identifying career plans, successors for key roles, creating talent segmentation/pools, etc.
9. Partner with clients to ensure continuous improvement of high-potential/development programs - Mitigating current/future talent gaps.
10. Direct HR activities and core HR processes/programs for associates and managers within the assigned client groups (SLT-3). This includes driving the development/execution of all HR core processes not elsewhere mentioned (including job grading, capability mapping, skills identification/development, job descriptions, compensation planning and coaching clients on HR legal compliance). Ensure compliance with all legislation and Goodyear HR policies.
What You’ll Bring
11. 7+ years of Human Resources experience leading core HR processes, including work across multiple businesses, functions, and roles.
12. Global HR experience operating within a matrix organization and partnering with diverse cultures and international teams.
13. Proven success supporting strategic stakeholders across functions or business units.
14. Background in fast-paced, high-volume environments, handling both strategic and tactical HR responsibilities.
15. Expertise in talent management, change management, employee development, retention strategies, and data analytics.
16. Strong capability in coaching, and consulting on business and HR initiatives with both direct and indirect authority.
17. Fluent English spoken and written
