We are looking for personnel to join our team and support key client projects.Who We Are Supporting The NATO Communication and Information Agency (NCIA) is responsible for providing secure and effective communications and information technology (IT) services to NATO\'s member countries and its partners. The agency was established in 2012 and is headquartered in Brussels, Belgium. The NCIA provides a wide range of services, including cyber security, command and control systems, satellite communications, electronic warfare, and information management. Overall, the NCIA plays a critical role in ensuring the security and effectiveness of NATO\'s communication and information technology capabilities.The program Assistance and Advisory Service (AAS). The NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCI Agency) is NATO’s principal C3 capability deliverer and CIS service provider. It provides, maintains and defends the NATO enterprise-wide information technology infrastructure to enable Allies to consult together under Article IV, and, when required, stand together in the face of attack under Article V.Role detailsTo provide these critical services, in the modern evolving dynamic environment the NCI Agency needs to build and maintain high performance-engaged workforce. The NCI Agency workforce strategically consists of three major categories: NATO International Civilians (NIC), Military (Mil), and Interim Workforce Consultants (IWC). The IWCs are a critical part of the overall NCI Agency workforce and make up approximately 15 percent of the total workforce.Role ID – 2026-0023Role Background Due to the findings in the Type 4 Security Audit NATO technical teams has been tasked with planning and implementing a security standardisation for 2 factor to Multifactor authentication for internet facing web-portals throughout NATO enterprise.Role Duties and ResponsibilitiesBuild a reference environment for the Entral ID applicationTest and document Keycloak, SharePoint and Moodle applications against EntraSupport NEO with options on MFA and single sign onEssential Skills, Experience And CertificationsIdentity and Access ManagementMinimum 5 years of experienceStrong knowledge of authentication protocols (SAML, OIDC, ...)Sound knowledge of federated identity management and Single Sign On (SSO) solution (Okta, Entra ID, ...)MFAProven experience designing and rolling out MFA at scale in an enterprise environment (5K+ users)Experience with certificate-based MFA smart cards, YubiKeys, passkeys/webauthn, TOTP, and push-based MFA apps (Microsoft Authenticator, Duo, ...)Understanding of risk-based or adaptive authentication strategies.Web security and secure access architectureExperience in securing web applications and APIsStrong understanding of TLS, client certificates, reverse proxies, and Zero trust principlesExperience with SSO integration of web applicationsCommunication and Interpersonal SkillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsFull proficiency in EnglishAbility to communicate technical information to non-technical users in a clear and concise mannerCustomer Service OrientationStrong customer service focus with a commitment to user satisfactionPatience and empathy when dealing with user issues and concernsOrganizational SkillsAttention to detail in documenting support activities and maintaining accurate recordsTeam CollaborationAbility to work effectively as part of a team and share knowledge and resourcesWillingness to collaborate with colleagues to solve complex issuesOthersThe candidate has strong customer relationship skills, including negotiating complex and sensitive situations under pressureThe candidate must have the nationality of one of the NATO nationsWorking LocationMons, Belgium or Braine L\'AlleudWorking PolicyOffsiteTravelSome travel to other NATO sites may be requiredSecurity ClearanceValid National or NATO Secret personal security clearanceWe never know what new opportunities might be just over the horizon.
