Job description
1. You develop effective negotiation strategies and action plans, maintain & build effective relationships with new & existing suppliers and manage them on both strategic and operational levels, always keeping price competitiveness, contingency, quality & sustainability into consideration.
2. You use our existing sourcing processes and structures to support the business strategy, working integrated with both internal (NPD, Sales, Leadership, Supply Chain, …) and external (suppliers) key stakeholders in order to achieve our business objectives and support the company’s growth.
3. Finding an optimized balance between costs, supply-reliability and quality, you conclude framework contracts based on the Lotus philosophy of “Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)”.
4. Providing input for the various financial reports, you prepare and give business & projects updates, both internally and externally.
Profile
To be able to achieve the above and be successful in this role we believe you need to have:
5. A Master’s degree in a relevant study field, combined with a minimum of 5 years experience in procurement. Given the unique aspects of procurement in the food industry, we aim for a candidate from this sector.
6. Previous and strong experience with strategic procurement and negotiations.
7. A comfort in working in a fast growing business with flexibility and autonomy at the base of your working style.
8. The ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a multinational environment and the communication skills to easily build trust with both colleagues and suppliers.
9. A forward thinking and initiative-taking hands-on approach to your daily responsibilities.
10. Fluency in English
