Sanofi Global MSAT (Manufacturing Sciences, Analytics and Technology) acts as a crucial link between R&D and Manufacturing, supporting current portfolios and future launches of high-quality drugs and vaccines. The team drives transformation by providing manufacturing support focused on technical/process aspects, lifecycle management, process robustness, and yield improvements.
In partnership with various functions (Manufacturing 4.0, Digital, M&S, R&D), the MSAT DSD team aims for operational excellence in process development, optimization, and sustainability through data-driven approaches. The organization fosters digital and data innovations to accelerate and secure product launches and improve existing processes.
The MSAT DSD Recombinant Platform accelerates digital transformation for the MSAT Recombinant Drug Substance Platform, supporting current and new product launches via Data Science and Digital innovations.
Reporting to the Head of Immunology Cluster within the MSAT DSD Recombinant Platform, the Data Scientist will provide statistical support to internal customers: MSAT USP (UpStream), MSAT DSP (DownStream), and MSAT Analytics. The role involves collaboration with other MSAT DSD members for harmonization and improvement.
Main responsibilities
1. Implement statistical methodologies for protocols.
2. Conduct statistical analyses and prepare reports.
3. Develop statistical procedures and instructions.
4. Communicate statistical results effectively to customers.
5. Train and educate customers on data science and statistics.
6. Support responses to health authority questions with statistical input.
7. Monitor and implement innovative statistical methods.
About you
* Master’s Degree or PhD in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics with at least 5 years of industrial experience.
* Fluent in English; French is a plus.
* Rigorous, dynamic, and pedagogical.
* Strong knowledge in statistics including:
o Statistical Process Control (SPC), Process Verification, control charts, capability indices, etc.
o Sample size and power studies.
o Comparability and equivalence studies.
o Prediction intervals and population comparisons.
o Multivariate analyses and machine learning algorithms (PCA, PLS, Random Forest, etc.).
o Modeling (linear and non-linear).
o Qualification and validation of analytical methods.
o Design of Experiments.
o Bayesian statistics.
* Proficiency in statistical software and programming languages such as R, Python, JMP, etc.
* Willingness to travel occasionally to other Sanofi immunology sites.
