You’ll have the opportunity to work within our engineering team, contributing to the design and development of heavy machinery for water infrastructure projects.
Your missions
* Model and design mechanical components for heavy machine equipment used in water infrastructure (movable bridges, locks, weirs, pumping stations, lifting equipment, etc.).
* Process input from engineers and use it for modeling in Inventor or SolidWorks.
* Integrate models into the general 3D model to check interfaces and perform clash detection across different disciplines (civil engineering, steel design, etc.).
* Seek practical solutions, considering maintenance and installation requirements of the machinery.
* Finalize and, upon approval, produce the required 2D and 3D plans.
Your profile
* 4 to 6 years of experience in mechanical design.
* Bachelor’s degree in design and production technology or (electro)mechanics, or equivalent through experience.
* Excellent experience with 3D modeling in Inventor or SolidWorks.
* Passion for mechanical design of heavy machine equipment (bearings, shafts, gears, cranks, hinges, wheels, winches, cables, chains, hydraulic cylinders, motors, etc.).
* Proficiency in 3D modeling in Inventor or SolidWorks, including advanced modeling and drawing skills.
* Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
* Experience in setting up templates (part, assembly, BOM, and drawing).
* Knowledge of VBA for automating modeling and drawing processes is a plus.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD.
* You speak Dutch and English fluently (also speaking French is a great asset!)
* You demonstrate strong mechanical reasoning and analytical skills.
