We are looking for a Head of Global Clearance who is visionary, collaborative, and innovative to join us in our Medical Marketing Operations, Patient Impact team, based in Belgium HQ or Slough, UK.
About the role
You will lead the transformation of our global clearance function, driving operational excellence, digital innovation, and cross-functional alignment. This role ensures compliant, agile, and efficient review of all materials worldwide, supporting UCB’s omnichannel ambitions.
Who you'll work with
You will be working in a diverse, cross-functional team of experts from Medical, Legal, Regulatory, and Marketing, collaborating globally within a matrix structure to deliver high-impact solutions and continuous improvement.
What you'll do
1. Establish and maintain global governance frameworks for content clearance.
2. Harmonize SOPs across regions for consistency and compliance.
3. Ensure scientific accuracy and compliance with global regulatory standards (FDA, EMA, ABPI).
4. Support audits, inspections, and legal consultations as needed.
5. Lead and develop the global clearance and review team.
6. Oversee clearance of all UCB assets worldwide.
7. Implement modular content review strategies to accelerate approvals.
8. Drive integration of AI and automation tools (e.g., SourceClear).
9. Define and track KPIs for review cycle time and stakeholder satisfaction.
10. Partner with senior leaders to align clearance with business priorities.
11. Optimize local clearance processes and global governance.
12. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and digital innovation.

13. Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine, or related field.
14. Minimum 10 years in pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
15. At least 5 years in global leadership roles.
16. Proven experience in transformation and digital innovation.
17. Deep knowledge of global compliance and regulatory standards.
18. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
19. Demonstrated experience working in a matrix organization.
