Your role
In this role, you take ownership of mechanical component and system design within our Oil-Injected Engineering team. You drive design innovation from concept to release, using 3D-CAD for modelling and translating your ideas into complete 2D documentation, BOMs and manufacturing instructions within our PLM system. You balance creativity with pragmatism: your designs must be manufacturable, safe to assemble and easy to maintain in the field.
You work closely with calculation engineers, electrical specialists, project leaders and suppliers, ensuring technical choices are aligned across disciplines. You follow prototype production end-to-end, validate components against drawings, and work with the lab during assembly, testing and issue resolution. When technical questions arise from production, quality, service or suppliers, you act as a knowledgeable and autonomous point of contact.
As this position is a stepping stone towards team leadership, you are expected to work independently, take technical ownership, and support others through coaching. You provide guidance to junior colleagues, help structure project work, and contribute to technical decisions that shape future product generations. You challenge assumptions, look for smarter solutions, and maintain accurate technical data throughout the lifecycle.
