Scientist - Advanced Molecular Analysis (Nitrosamines)

Role Overview
We are recruiting a Scientist to join an advanced analytical development environment focused on molecular and materials characterization of pharmaceutical products. This role sits within a specialized analytical team supporting research, development, and commercial portfolios.
The Scientist will play a critical role in the development and application of analytical methods for nitrosamine quantification across a variety of pharmaceutical matrices. This is a hands-on, laboratory-based position offering exposure to advanced mass spectrometry, chromatographic method development, and complex scientific investigations within a regulated R&D setting.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement advanced analytical methods for the quantification of nitrosamines, including sample preparation, chromatographic separation, and detection.
Conduct and support root cause investigations related to nitrosamine formation and presence, spanning early research through late-stage development.
Apply expertise in mass spectrometry (e.g., Triple Quadrupole, High-Resolution MS) to complex analytical challenges.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional scientific teams, contributing to innovative and fit-for-purpose analytical solutions.
Establish and maintain external collaborations with academic and research institutions to support scientific innovation.
Ensure strict adherence to GMP, regulatory, safety, and environmental requirements within the laboratory environment.
Qualifications & Experience
PhD in Analytical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline or Master's degree in a related field with 6+ years of relevant experience
Demonstrated experience with nitrosamine analysis in pharmaceutical products is a strong advantage.
Proven hands-on experience with mass spectrometry, particularly Triple Quadrupole and/or High-Resolution MS.
Experience developing and optimizing chromatographic methods is preferred.
Knowledge of ICH, EMA, FDA, and GMP validation requirements is advantageous.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
