Freelance Electrical Project Manager
Overview
A major organisation operating within the infrastructure and industrial sector is seeking an experienced Freelance Electrical Project Manager to support the delivery of multi‑technical projects. This role suits a professional who thrives in complex environments, can coordinate multiple technical disciplines, and ensures projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage electrical project activities across infrastructure and industrial sites.
* Coordinate multi‑technical teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
* Oversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and progress reporting.
* Ensure compliance with electrical standards, regulations, and safety requirements.
* Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
* Maintain strong communication with internal stakeholders and external partners throughout the project lifecycle.
* Monitor project performance and provide regular updates to senior management.
* Promote continuous improvement and uphold quality standards across all deliverables.
Required Experience & Skills
* Proven experience as a Project Manager within multi‑technical environments (electrical, mechanical, automation, or industrial systems).
* Strong background in infrastructure or industrial projects such as utilities, energy, manufacturing, or transport.
* Solid understanding of electrical engineering principles and relevant industry standards.
* Demonstrated ability to manage complex project scopes, budgets, and timelines.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management capabilities.
* Ability to work independently and make informed decisions in dynamic environments.
* Dutch Speaking is essential, French would be nice to have.
Education & Qualifications
* Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
* Project management certifications (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP) are beneficial but not mandatory.
* Strong understanding of health, safety, and compliance requirements in industrial settings.
Contract Details
* Freelance / Contract position
* Duration: 12 months
* Location: Flemish region with travel to multiple project sites
* Start: Immediate or negotiable
