Reporting to the Business Development Director and in close collaboration with the Marketing and Strategy teams, you will provide accurate and actionable market intelligence through both desk research and fieldwork, focusing on the local industry and community practices.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct market research and analysis, including competitor benchmarking, market sizing, and trend identification.
* Engage directly with local artisans, distributors, and other field stakeholders to gather practical insights.
* Collect, analyze, and interpret data from multiple sources (primary and secondary research, surveys, industry reports, internal databases).
* Compile reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate findings to management and support strategic decision-making.
* Monitor industry developments, emerging trends, and regulatory changes relevant to the business.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure research findings inform marketing, sales, and product strategy.
* Maintain a strong understanding of local market practices, culture, and consumer behavior.
You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, or a related field, and you have 2 to 3 years of experience in field research, data collection, and report compilation, ideally in an industry-related market. You are resourceful, socially skilled, and able to engage effectively with artisans and local stakeholders to collect reliable insights. You have experience translating field data into actionable business recommendations. Fluency in English, Twi, and at least one other local dialect is required. Familiarity with the Ghanaian market is a plus. You are adaptable and able to navigate diverse cultural and market environments.
