We have an exciting new position for a Manager, Climate & Circularity to leading Sony Europe in environmental operations i.e. circular economy, environmental initiatives, and carbon management.
You should be someone who already has some great experience driving environmental ambitions, networking and influencing our business leaders across Europe to buy into our projects and initiatives. You will lead environmental governance and carbon management framework, drive measurable emissions reductions and circular economy initiatives and strengthen Sony Europe’s environmental performance and long-term business resilience, unlocking new business opportunities and strengthening our competitive position along the way.
You will lead one team member, and join a very sociable, diverse and collaborative Sustainability & Product Compliance Team, within a company that places sustainability as one of the key fundamentals, not only mission and vision. We expect you will grow and develop in this position, ultimately taking on more exciting responsibilities when you’re ready.
You will:
Lead Environmental Governance & Reporting
1. Ensure the quality, integrity, and governance of Sony Europe’s environmental and GHG data, making sure it is accurate, audit-ready, and fit for regulatory (e.g. CSRD) and corporate reporting requirements, in close collaboration with Finance.
Lead Carbon Data & Accounting
2. Lead and coordinate Scope 1, 2 and 3 carbon data management, overseeing GHG accounting tools, methodologies, and reporting processes while ensuring high data quality and transparency.
Drive Decarbonisation Delivery
3. Lead cross-functional efforts to identify, prioritise and implement carbon reduction initiatives aligned with Sony Group’s net-zero pathway, tracking progress against targets and KPIs.
Deliver Circular Economy Initiatives
4. Co‑lead circular economy projects across operations, products and supply chain, translating strategy into practical programmes with measurable outcomes.
Champion Sustainability Engagement
5. Lead the Sustainability Ambassador Network, drive internal engagement campaigns, and support communication of Sony Europe’s environmental strategy and achievements.
Provide Business & Commercial Support
6. Supply sustainability data and expertise to support sales, tenders, certifications, eco‑labels and external programmes.
You will bring:
7. Proven experience in corporate sustainability, environmental management within a multinational organisation
8. Project management, stakeholder engagement, and sustainability promotion skills
9. Expertise in GHG accounting across Scope 1, 2, 3, including methodology development, data governance, and audit-ready reporting aligned with the GHG Protocol.
10. Experience in circular economy challenges, product carbon footprints (PCF), and global eco-label verification.
11. Exceptional creative strategic thinking, problem-solving abilities, and influencing/networking skills
