The Opportunity
A new Commercial Excellence Director role has been created at the corporate level to build and scale commercial excellence across a highly decentralized European organization. This is a newly elevated, high-priority position with direct visibility from the CEO and Group Operating Committee.
The successful candidate will establish a corporate Commercial Excellence Office from the ground up, define and standardize KPIs, and drive a more analytical, performance-driven sales mindset across multiple business lines and countries.
This role offers exceptional exposure to senior leadership, broad influence across Europe, and the opportunity to shape how commercial performance is measured and optimized at scale.

Key Responsibilities
* Build and lead a Commercial Excellence Office at the corporate level
* Define, implement, and monitor commercial KPIs across all business lines
* Analyze sales performance and identify opportunities for improvement
* Coach and influence sales leaders and teams to adopt a more analytical mindset
* Standardize best practices across diverse and decentralized business units
* Partner closely with European leadership teams despite no direct sales line authority
* Hire, structure, and manage a team of approximately 5 to 10 people, including business analysts
* Act as a key advisor to senior leadership on commercial performance and effectiveness

Ideal Candidate Profile
* Proven experience in commercial excellence, sales performance monitoring, or KPI development
* Background from top consulting firms or strong engineering or management schools preferred
* Experience working with complex operations and large sales organizations
* Exposure to biopharma, tech, or other complex operational environments is a plus, but not required
* Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence without authority
* Comfortable operating at the corporate and executive level
