Overview
Are you passionate about driving process excellence in finance? At Alken-Maes, we’re looking for an Accounting Process Lead to support and improve our end-to-end finance operations in close collaboration with our Shared Service Center (HGSS) and local teams.
As part of our Model Finance Organisation (MFO), you’ll play a key role in ensuring high-quality execution of non-standardized processes, enabling continuous improvement, and acting as a bridge between local operations and HGSS.
Responsibilities
* You’ll be the go-to person for local accounting process improvements, ensuring compliance, efficiency and alignment with business needs.
* You’ll act as a bridge between the business and HGSS, translating operational challenges into actionable solutions.
* You’ll support audits and external stakeholder relationships, ensuring smooth coordination and accurate reporting.
* You’ll help shape the future of finance at Alken-Maes by enabling end-to-end process improvements and driving standardization.
* Procure to Pay (PTP): provide support for local language roles to drive process enhancements if needed and support escalation of business related PTP activities and follow up on actions.
* Record to Report (RTR): act as the main contact for process improvements, ensure documentation is up to date, and implement corrective actions. Liaise with the Tax Manager and support compliance.
* Order to Cash (OTC): collaborate with local OTC leads and HGSS to resolve specific support needs.
* Cross-functional collaboration: enable end-to-end finance improvements by working with local functions. Coordinate audit queries and liaise with external auditors.
Your profile
* Bachelor’s degree in Finance & Accounting.
* Minimum 5 years of experience in financial accounting roles.
* Good knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, S4/HANA) and Microsoft Office.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to add value in standardization and continuous improvement programmes.
* Experience working with remote teams and cross-functional departments (Finance, Supply Chain, Sales, Marketing).
* Proactive, analytical and solution-oriented mindset.
* Fluent in English (spoken and written).
