About the Internship

As a Digital Marketing Assistant Intern, you will support the Marketing team in managing and optimizing the digital presence of several hospitality and lifestyle brands in Ghent. You will work across different properties, including Ghent Marriott Hotel, Courtyard by Marriott Ghent, ARNO ristorante, and SCALA event center, each with its own identity, target audience, and communication style.

This internship offers hands-on experience in digital marketing within a dynamic hospitality environment. From website updates and OTA content optimization to social media storytelling and campaign support, you will play an active role in making sure every digital touchpoint is accurate, inspiring, and conversion-driven.


What your role looks like?


The Hub: Website and SEO management

The official property website is our most powerful direct-booking tool. You will be the engine behind it, ensuring every visitor has a seamless experience:

* Asset Mastery: Use our Digital Asset Management (DAC) system to refresh seasonal high-res imagery and content.
* Continuous Refresh: You will ensure all downloadable content, from the latest restaurant menus to wedding brochures and service directories, is up-to-date and pixel-perfect.
* SEO & Discoverability: You will make sure our website remains the top recommendation for travelers looking for the perfect stay in Ghent.


Beyond the Hub: OTA & Channel Optimization

While our website is the heart of our strategy, it is not our only touchpoint; we are also highly visible on third-party channels. You will take ownership of our presence on Expedia,, and Meta-Search platforms to reach a perfect 100% content score:

* Auditing and refreshing: Ensuring room descriptions and amenity lists are up-to-date across all platforms.
* Consistent Identity: Maintaining clean and accurate structured data so that our properties are represented correctly across the entire digital landscape.


The Narrative: Social Media & Content Strategy

Your goal is the best possible representation of our brands on social media (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook). This role goes beyond just posting; it’s about creating a narrative that converts.

* Content Plan Creation: Building a 2026-ready strategy that speaks to the unique identity of our various properties.
* Production & Execution: Assisting with photoshoots and writing compelling copy that captures our brand voice.
* Traffic Driver: Every post has a purpose, moving our community from "likes" on a screen to "direct bookings" on our website.

Your Profile:

* The Precisionist: You are “detail-obsessive" by nature. Seeing a broken link or an outdated PDF on a website doesn't just bother you, it motivates you to fix it.
* The Digital Navigator: You are comfortable working within CMS platforms, Digital Asset Management (DAC) systems, and OTA extranets (like You understand that SEO isn't just a buzzword, it’s the bridge between a traveler and their destination.
* The Storyteller: You have a flair for creating convertible content. You can pivot your writing style and visual aesthetic to match the sophisticated luxury of Marriott Ghent, the modern vibe of Courtyard, the culinary soul of ARNO, or the professional scale of SCALA.
* The Ghent Ambassador: You have a genuine passion for Ghent. You are excited to showcase the city’s history and vibrant culture to a global audience while exploring its hidden gems yourself.
