Our client is an international company with a research and development center located near Brussels. Due to increased laboratory workload, we are looking for a Lab Assistant / Technical Assistant for a temporary assignment of at least 6 months.
Your Role
As a Lab Assistant, you perform procedural and routine laboratory work in support of R&D activities. Your work is essential for generating reliable, high-quality data that supports fundamental scientific understanding and the evaluation of new hypotheses.
Perform physico-chemical analyses (pH, viscosity, etc.) and performance testing
Prepare tests and products and execute experiments according to qualified procedures
Accurately capture, check, and report data using electronic lab notebooks and digital tools
Detect data irregularities and report them to the supervisor or technical coach
Manage laboratory inventories and related administrative tasks
Contribute to digital data capture and work with laboratory software applications
Collaborate closely with R&D stakeholders and maintain effective working relationships
You work independently within defined tasks, with priorities, planning, and methods determined by your supervisor or technical coach.
Profile
Secondary education (science) or Bachelor's degree in a scientific field
Accurate, reliable, structured, and disciplined way of working
Curious, observant, and proactive in asking questions
Basic understanding of data retrieval and analysis processes
Comfortable working with computer applications and software tools
Clear written and verbal communication skills
