Data Scientist – Engineering Department
Experience, qualification, and soft skills, have you got everything required to succeed in this opportunity Find out below.
As a Data Scientist within our engineering department, you will grow step by step into a key role in supporting our worldwide projects. You won’t be expected to know everything from day one, you’ll learn by doing, supported by experienced engineers and data scientists.
At DEME, our engineering teams constantly make predictions: how vessels will perform, how soils will behave, what environmental conditions to expect, and what emissions may occur. With an increasing volume of investigations, sensor streams and geospatial data, we can calibrate and improve these predictions, turning engineering expertise into smarter, data-driven decisions.
As a Data Scientist within EDT, you’ll help bridge computer science and physical engineering. You will transform and analyze large-scale sensor and geospatial datasets and challenge traditional, physics-based engineering models with (hybrid) machine learning and probabilistic modelling. Your work will help projects worldwide make better predictions, supporting every phase from tender to preparation and execution, so we can confidently deliver extraordinary results in dredging, offshore energy, and marine infrastructure.
Project Manager – Fleet Interventions
The Project Manager Fleet Interventions is responsible for the end-to-end execution of the scope of work for a vessel intervention period (maintenance, repair, mobilisation, conversion, installation of mission equipment, …) and redelivery. This role ensures that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to stringent quality and safety standards, while also obtaining high vessel performance and reliability post-redelivery.
Electrical & Automation Engineer
As an Electrical & Automation Engineer at DEME, you’ll operate both broadly and deeply: involved in multidisciplinary designs while diving into specialized technical topics. You’ll work closely with internal teams across the business, ensuring seamless integration of systems and equipment used in our own fleet of vessels. Expect a high-paced, high-pressure environment where your engineering expertise will be crucial during concept & basic design phase of newbuild and conversion projects. This is not a management role - it's a hands‑on technical position focused on delivering high-quality, compliant and innovative engineering solutions for complex projects.
Data Engineer – IT Data & Analytics
At DEME, we believe that data is one of our most valuable assets. As we grow more data-driven, we are looking for a seasoned data engineer to join our Data & Analytics team within IT, someone who brings deep technical craft and the architectural perspective to help shape where we go next.
Senior Gearbox (Reliability) Expert
To further increase the mechanical reliability of our global fleet of vessels, we’re strengthening our in house expertise in heavy mechanical systems and power transmission. We are looking for a senior Gearbox (Reliability) Expert who analyzes mechanical failures at their root, through calculation, design evaluation and deep engineering insight and who independently analyzes complex mechanical systems at system and component level, to go beyond maintenance-based assumptions.
This role focuses on understanding how mechanical systems are designed, function, fail and how to prevent recurrence, with direct impact on the long term reliability of critical assets across the fleet and business units.
In this senior expert role, you will take ownership of complex, non‑standard mechanical reliability topics with fleet wide relevance. Profiles with a purely maintenance-driven or shipbuilding-focused background are less suited for this position.
Service Desk Engineer
As a Service Desk Engineer, you will play a vital role in providing efficient and timely support to our organization's users through the ServiceNow ticketing tool. You will be responsible for managing and resolving various IT-related issues, ensuring smooth operations, and delivering excellent customer service.
Procurement Expeditor
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail oriented Procurement Expeditor to join our SSC PROC OPS (Procurement Operations) team.
In this pivotal role, you will act as the operational link between SSC and DEME HQ P&L Machinery, Equipment and Services team, ensuring accurate, timely, and well governed processing of supplier purchase Order Confirmations (OCs). xphnsxz You will be responsible for the end to end administration, validation, and coordination of Order Confirmations (OC) with Suppliers within Ivalua, supporting buyers by handling operational workload and ensuring data integrity for procurement visibility and reporting.
