We are looking for a Manager Category Management – Drinks who will make a difference in our shops
As Manager Category Management - Drinks, you take the commercial lead for the Drinks category, you manage a team of category managers and support management in strategic projects. You are the driving force behind a winning assortment, sharp pricing and promotional strategies, and flawless execution across Belgium and Luxembourg.
Your impact
Lead, coach, develop: You motivate and support your category colleagues, focusing on onboarding, mentoring, and building a high‑performing team.
End‑to‑end ownership of your Drinks category: from market analysis and assortment definition to planograms, pricing strategy, promotion planning and supply alignment — you steer performance on revenue, margin, volume, traffic, and market share.
Belux scope: You work cross‑functionally with local stakeholders and European counterparts, ensuring consistent and high‑quality execution in both Belgium and Luxembourg.
Your Responsibilities
Category leadership & team development
You manage a team of 5 Category Managers (drinks / coffee / impulse / tobacco), motivating, coaching and supporting them while strengthening team dynamics.
You help build an ambitious, high‑performing and cost‑conscious team with strong commercial impact, creating smooth, execution‑focused collaboration that makes life easier for our sites and customers.
You support management in key strategic projects and ensure professional and consistent execution of business plans.
You collaborate closely with colleagues from Category Management, Convenience Support and Marketing to maximize impact.
Managing & optimizing the Drinks category
You monitor market trends and competitors closely and build deep category expertise.
You define the optimal drinks assortment per segment and per country, inspired by market leaders and innovations.
You develop planograms and an effective pricing strategy for the category.
You are responsible for product launches within your category.
You drive category performance on revenue, margin, volume, traffic and market share.
You analyze and report category results, developing action plans to reinforce growth and profitability and to ensure budget targets are met.
You provide accurate and complete product information to keep the back‑office system fully up to date and ensure smooth communication to our sites.
Negotiations & promotion management for Drinks
You negotiate commercial and promotional activities and related budgets with beverage suppliers.
You develop the annual promotion plan for Drinks, tailored by segment and by country.
You maintain strong relationships with suppliers and distributors and ensure product availability.
You prepare and coordinate promotional plans with the relevant teams.
Your context
You operate across both Belgium and Luxembourg.
The rollout of Circle K shops and the renewed assortment brings significant innovation and commercial opportunities.
SFS revenues, driven by an increasingly strong shop offer, are essential for sustainable retail profitability.
Your Profile
Education: Higher relevant education (e.g., Business or related field); Category Management and Project Management training are a plus.
Experience: At least 5+ years in category management; 3+ years in FMCG/retail or a specialized sector. Experience with supplier negotiations, contracts and (private label) product or brand development.
People management: Solid experience in leading a team.
Skills: Strong analytical capabilities and proficiency with tools like Excel, PowerBI, etc.
Personality:

entrepreneurial, autonomous and driven to continuously improve.
Languages: You are trilingual — Dutch, French and English.
