We are Batka International, a cross-border recruitment firm supporting companies across France, Belgium and the Netherlands.
We are currently supporting a fast-growing international logistics company, active in last-mile delivery across Europe.The company is entering a new phase of development in Belgium, with the objective of strengthening its operational footprint and scaling its performance.
This role is directly linked to the development of a strategic hub in Bornem, playing a key role in supporting growth, structuring operations, and ensuring high performance in a fast-paced environment.
This is not a standard operations role, it offers a strong level of ownership, visibility, and impact on the site's performance.
Position Overview
As Site Manager, you will take full ownership of the Bornem hub and be responsible for its operational performance, team management, and continuous development.
This is a hands-on and high-impact position, where you will be expected to:
Structure and stabilize operationsDrive performanceManage and develop teamsSupport the site's growth
You will act as the local leader of the site, with full accountability for results.
Key Responsibilities
Operations ManagementOversee daily operations (inbound, sorting, outbound, transport coordination)Ensure smooth parcel flow and on-time performanceManage volumes, peak periods, and operational capacity
Team LeadershipLead, structure, and develop operational teams (blue collars and supervisors)Manage workforce planning, including temporary staffBuild a strong, performance-driven culture
Performance and KPIsDefine and monitor key KPIs (productivity, quality, service level, costs)Drive continuous improvement initiativesEnsure operational excellence and efficiency
Process and Project ManagementSupport the ramp-up and stabilization of the siteImplement best practices and operational standardsContribute to automation and improvement projects
Stakeholder ManagementAct as the main local point of contactCollaborate with central teams (HR, transport, finance, operations)Ensure alignment between operational and business objectives
Profile
Experience10+ years of experience in logistics or supply chainExperience in site management, xphnsxz warehouse management, or operations managementBackground in 3PL, parcel, retail, or industrial logistics environments
SkillsStrong operational and hands-on mindsetProven leadership and team management skillsKPI-driven and performance-orientedStrong problem-solving and decision-making abilitiesContinuous improvement mindset
Languages
